Café Crescendo
Overview
Café Crescendo is a narrative-focused game about two characters, Gita and Finn, and features branching dialogue and several minigames.
Goal
My goal with Café Crescendo is to create a meaningful and impactful game that blends storytelling and gameplay uniquely and artistically. The game explores themes of connection, healing, and personal growth through the stories of its two protagonists, Finn and Gita, set against the backdrop of a small, struggling coffee shop. As Finn, players will manage the café, preserving its legacy while navigating the challenges of keeping it afloat. As Gita, players will embark on a journey to pursue her dream of becoming a pianist, grappling with the pressures of her family’s expectations and the search for her own identity. The game will include a variety of gameplay mechanics, such as creating drinks, managing customer interactions, navigating branching dialogues, and performing music.
